…is a Canadian dancer and a sound designer for dance and theater. Since 2007 he has been a professional ballet and contemporary dancer in Canada and numerous countries in Europe as well as composing and designing sound for dance and theater productions. His work is defined by his focus on collaboration with the people he works with as well as his focus on communicating and enhancing stories through sound and dance.
Starting dancing at the age of 7, Davidson trained in dance schools around the world including the National Ballet School, Harrid Conservatory, Xing Dance Academy and finally the American Ballet Theater School in NYC. He started his professional career in 2007 when he joined the Alberta Ballet and then after 6 years relocated to Germany to join the National Theater of Mannheim before going freelance in 20
Davidson is a self-taught musician with a desire to experiment and explore new avenues. While in Alberta Ballet he played in multiple bands as a drummer and working with other musicians in between rehearsals and performances. After being introduced to the possibilities of computer music making in 2008 he became focused on creating sound environments and music for the theater. He has created sound for companies around the world including Korzo Theater, Alberta Ballet, National Theater Mannheim, West Australian Ballet, Delattre Dance Company and Prague Chamber Ballet and worked with choreographers such as Jiří Pokorný, Stephen Delattre, Yukichi Hattori and Robert Glumbeck.
